El Gouna

El Gouna is a modern resort town on the Red Sea in Egypt, not far from Hurghada. It is built along the coast and on small islands and is known for its lagoons, coral reefs and sandy beaches. Among them is the long and wide Mangrove Beach, popular with kitesurfers. The lively Abu Tig Marina is surrounded by restaurants and bars. In the city centre, Tamr Henna Square has palm trees, shops and cafes with outdoor seating.
